Purpose :
To determine disintegration time of tablets
Scope :
Disintegration test will come under this procedure
Procedure :
• Introduce one tablet into each tube; add a disc to appropriate tubes of the Disintegrating apparatus.
• Suspend the assembly in the beaker containing the specified liquid[water],in which temperature is maintained at 370 C [+_2]
• Operate the apparatus for specified time.
• Remove the assembly from the liquid
• The tablet pass the test if all of them are disintegrated
